House clearance New Southgate N11
Few little facts about New-Southgate
New Southgate is a residential suburb in the South East corner of the London Borough of Barnet and the South West corner of the London Borough of Enfield. The area is situated at the meeting point of 3 boroughs, Barnet, Enfield and Haringey. I is close to Southgate but is regarded as a separate village.
New Southgate was home to Jerome K Jerome, writer of 'Three Men in a Boat'. He is commemorated here with a statue of boat on the New Southgate Millennium Green on Station Road.
The name New Southgate was adopted in the mid 19th century probably shortly after the opening of both the railway stations.
